Our Angels

Timber Nov. 18, 1993 – July 9, 2009

With a very heavy heart, I’d like to share the passing of my girl with you. She was an amazing, gentle soul who loved other animals of all sorts, always maintaining her role as a Matriarchic Alpha. Timber was my best friend, my hiking buddy, my light in the darkest day, my teacher….. my soul mate. I feel so blessed to have had such a loving and powerful spirit in my life. Timber over came every obstacle to her health over the last 6 years and wouldn’t let anything keep her down. She had such a powerful spirit to overcome anything. She passed on her terms, gently in my arms early Wednesday morning. My life was blessed and forever changed by Timber. Her Wolf spirit was my guide and now she’s my Wolf Guardian Angel. I Love You Timber, our souls will be intertwined forever. Timber’s favorite, hiking with Daddy in Killarney Provincial Park.

"Zeke"

Today, January 9, 2010, would have been Zeke’s 14th birthday, but his heart could not make it.  Zeke died peacefully in his sleep on his favorite dog bed with me by his side on Saturday January 9th – 2 days short of his 14th birthday.  He was my woolly, big hearted, protector as well as the most loving companion.  The memory of his antics will make me laugh for a long time.  It is very quiet at home (and the toilet seats are dry) without him!  His Mom, Deb.

Beautiful Miss Brandi

I wanted to let you know that my beautiful Brandi girl died peacefully in my arms on Wednesday, Feb 10th at 1:00 am.  Brandi was 12 years young and fought her illness every step of the way.  In fact, the day before she died, she still tried to play catch, barked at a dog who dared to bark at her through the fence and took the opportunity to steal Benny’s cat treats one last time.  Although some of you know her only through patiently listening to my non-stop stories and looking through pictures of our adventures, others have had the personal privilege of being squished on the couch by her or their face washed by her or their feet stepped on or their pockets rifled through for treats. Brandi was a ball hog and had to be held tight whenever watching baseball or soccer games and she was an avid swimmer - choosing to jump out of moving boats to swim ashore rather than wait for the boat to get there.  But mostly she was a little princess who allowed me to dress her up as such for Halloween, knowing full well how beautiful she looked! Brandi continued to take on health challenges and never let them get her down.  She pulled me through some tough times especially the loss of Daris and Timmy, but this is one time she can’t help me.  She has left not only a visible emptiness in my(our) home, but more painfully in my heart.  I will miss our adventures, the unending laughs she provided and the way she made sure the property was safe before bedtime.  But I will forever be grateful for the many friendships created because of her. The attached picture was taken by a close friend of Brandi’s while on a camping trip in 2008.  Like her big brother Daris, and Boukes before him, she loved to go camping and hiking.  Go and have fun Brandi….just make sure to be there waiting for me when its my time. Mary-Ann and Benny
